On Monday, July 28th, 500 boxes of essential medicines were handed over to Basilan Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), Basilan province.

This generous act was spearheaded by BTA Parliament Deputy Speaker Ustadz Abdulkarim Tan Misuari, along with Member of Parliament NurRedha Misuari and former parliament member Denmartin Kahalan.

DS Abdulkarim Misuari and MP NurRedha Misuari through their representatives, expressed thanks and gratitude to the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) - BARMM for providing vehicles and manpower to transport the medicines from Cotabato to Zamboanga, and finally to Basilan. They also thanked the Ministry of Health (MOH) for its guidance in ensuring the medicines' efficacy. Gratitude and shukran also extended to the Basilan LGU and IPHO for the warm welcome during the ceremony.

 

In a simple turn over ceremony held at the IPHO Operation Center, Governor Mujiv Hataman through his representative Provincial Board Member Dr. Nur Khan Istarul, Chairman, Committee on Health and Sanitation, along with Dr. Sharifa-Ann Abbas-Alvarez, Head of IPHO Basilan, received the donation, expressing deep appreciation for this vital contribution.

This donation hopes to significantly improve healthcare in Basilan, reflecting BARMM's commitment to Bangsamoro and the success of partnerships.

 

The same number of boxes of essential medicines will also be delivered and turned over to Sulu and Tawi-tawi this week.
